Welcome to the Prifogle House Building Blog! This is our family's project to purchase an old house, tear it down, and to build our new house from the ground up from the design and demolition to the final touches and moving in. Tune into this blog and on a weekly basis (we hope to post 2 to 3 times a week) and you can see our progress, our frustrations, and ultimately our new house!

Exterior Paint and Shingles
Sorry for the slow down in updates. With Daylight Savings time kicking in, it's getting harder and harder to get up to the lot after work before dark. A lot has happened since last post. On the outside, the siding is complete and painting is well on its way. The shingles also started going on today. We decided to go with Olive Grey as our primary color with off-white trim.
On the inside, the Plumbing, HVAC, and Electrical rough-in are all moving right along. The plumbing rough in is pretty well complete until after drywall and cabinets. Both furnaces are set in place and ductwork runs have started, all of the electrical boxes are located, and the rough in wiring is being pulled. Here are Pearson and Shelly standing in front of the boys bathtub upstairs.
A few other details are starting to take shape, too. Here you can see the framing for one of Shelly's favorite features, the two-sided fireplace between the Master Bedroom and the Master Bath Whirlpool tub.
And here are the columns in the Great Room/Dining Room/Kitchen.
